Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is used in households. It is mainly a mixture of propane-butane fractions obtained during direct petroleum distillation, catalytic cracking, and catalytic reforming processes. In winter propane-butane mixtures, C₃ hydrocarbons must account for at least 75%; in summer mixtures, C₄ hydrocarbons must not exceed 60%.

  • High energy efficiency – one kilogram of LPG gas creates more energy than conventional fuels.

  • Clean combustion – LPG emits less carbon dioxide (CO₂) and other pollutants during combustion.

  • Versatility – used in households, industry, transport, and energy.

  • Safe transportation and storage – liquefied form takes up less space, making it easy to store and transport.

Residential sector: heating, water heaters, stoves, grills.
Commercial sector: restaurants, hotels, laundry rooms, greenhouses.
Industry: metal cutting, drying processes, asphalt heating, backup energy.
Transport: car fuel (gas equipment), fuel for trucks, minibuses, and tractors, energy source for agricultural machinery.

LPG is stored in special containers or gas cylinders. The containers are made of strong steel and are pressure resistant. Maximum safety is ensured during gas transportation – each container is checked for leaks and complies with all European Union requirements.
